The overarching story seems to be the same, but to me it looks like the translation team tried to embellish it a bit rather than give a literal translation with a little rewording simply to make it more sensible to American syntax as I was doing. For instance, it took me quite a while to figure out that this mass of jumbled pixels was trying to represent the kanji 鍵 (key).
